Rights-of-Way
Vegetation management plans oriented towards wildlife can benefit from the addition of knowledge and experience from others who have worked on similar issues. Individual site initiatives are generally more effective when partnerships are formed with organizations working for conservation at broader scales. In addition, public perception is generally enhanced by partnerships with conservation groups. The resources listed here include both general, nationwide contacts as well as organizations and instances that are more specifically oriented towards state or region-specific information. When looking into regulations and programs, make sure to contact your state Department of Natural Resources, Department of Environmental Conservation or similar agency. If you have any additional questions, contact WHC at 301-588-8994.
