Certified CLL Sites

WM Alliance Girls Walking
Friends share time in the outdoors as they attend Waste Management, Inc.’s Camp Kestral at the CLL certified Alliance Landfill.
The Wildlife Habitat Council is pleased to list the following corporate sites that maintain WHC certified Corporate Lands for Learning programs. Each site has satisfied the necessary requirements in order to achieve and maintain CLL status.

This includes developing a valid curriculum, implementing the programs to fulfill at least ten hours of active learning per year, and having had a CLL site visit from WHC’s Director of Conservation Education and Outreach. Apply for CLL certification today!

CLL provides learners of all ages with the opportunity to make the outdoors their classroom through innovative, hands-on science, history, art, and literature programs, as well as college research and celebrations open to the public.

Each year, WHC honors one program with the Corporate Lands for Learning of the Year award, which is designed to recognize a site for outstanding environmental education, stewardship and voluntary employee efforts. The candidates for the awards are generated from the pool of applications for certification and recertification.

WHC also opens the floor each year to nominations for the Community Partner of the Year. This award is presented to one organization or individual for making a significant contribution and lasting impact on a corporate site's wildlife habitat enhancement programs through hands-on environmental awareness and enhancement activities.

For more information, contact the Education and Outreach Department.

Visit the Registry of Certified Sites, which servies as a reference for WHC sites and as a resource for the press, government agencies, elected officials, conservation organizations and the public. It includes detailed descriptions of the certified efforts at each site.

And stop by the Directory of Awards to learn about programs that have been further recognized for their achievements.
