The Council works with private landowners, mostly corporations, to create voluntary wildlife habitat and conservation education programs on their properties. By designing tailored programs to specific companies and properties, we can help landowners improve make a tangible benefit to ecosystems and biodiversity that complement their goals and priorities.
These programs bring the human element into conservation. They go beyond planting trees to incorporate community and employee investment. Council programs focus on healthy ecosystems and healthy societies.
The Council’s efforts are centered on two core programs, Wildlife at Work and Corporate Lands for Learning. Additionally, Council managed programs provide tried and tested models for implementing these programs.
