Getting Involved There are many ways to get involved with the Huron to Erie Waterways for Wildlife Project. All participation in the project is voluntary and usually achieved by partnering with other project participants. The brief list below outlines some of the many opportunities to help restore the Lake Huron to Lake Erie corridor to its full natural power and to secure the region’s future through sustainable habitat management. Corporations: Waterways for Wildlife presents an opportunity to take a leadership role in your community by initiating employee involvement and community outreach through a WHC Wildlife at Work program. Many of our corporate members also participate in the project's advisory committee. Community and Conservation Organizations: Waterways for Wildlife allows community groups to leverage the activities of its members and open clear lines of communication with the companies operating in your region. Several local groups are part of the project's advisory committee, as well as partners on specific conservation and restoration activities. Individuals: Waterways for Wildlife activities provide a way to become informed about and involved with conservation and wildlife management issues in your neighborhood and in your backyard. Government Agencies: Waterways for Wildlife provides a structure to help you explore non-confrontational interaction, communication, and programmatic synergy with corporations and communities in the regions you serve, and establishes an efficient way to obtain resources critical to achieving your policy objectives.
