Together as a community

Virtual and In-Person Events 2020-2021

Unprecedented circumstances around the world means we can’t be in the same room this year. But we can continue to stay together as a community dedicated to solving our current biodiversity and climate crises, and learn from one another on how to affect real change.

Here’s our new plan for in-person and virtual events for 2020-2021.

Registration and agenda coming soon

Is the July 15, 2020 Certification deadline still important?

Definitely. You don’t have to worry about it later in the year and you’ll be eligible for some pretty exciting things:
  • 2 free registrations (per program) to the Fall Virtual Event
  • Eligibility for the Ibis Award – this new award will recognize a program that has demonstrated resiliency of spirit and advancement of conservation despite shutdowns, quarantines and changes in the workplace.
How will WHC-Certified programs be recognized?
  • Programs submitted for Certification in late 2019 (July 16 to December 31, 2019) will be recognized at the Fall Virtual Event. These programs are also eligible for the 2020 WHC Awards, which will be presented at the Fall Virtual Event.
  • Programs submitted in 2020 (January 1, 2020 to December 15, 2020) will be celebrated at Conservation Conference 2021. These programs are eligible for the 2021 WHC Awards.
