WHC members are environmental leaders at local, national and global levels, voluntarily managing their lands to support sustainable ecosystems and the communities that surround them.
In 1988, a small group of innovative companies started a not-for-profit conservation organization to help preserve and enhance biodiversity on corporate lands. Thirty years later, WHC works with over 100 members in 25 countries and 48 U.S. states. Today, the need for business and industry to take the lead in conservation is more important than ever, and we remain committed to our mission to recognize, inspire, engage and support businesses to achieve wins for nature.
