About the Program
Roanoke Cement Company's Front Royal Terminal, a subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is located on three acres in Front Royal, Virginia. It receives cement product via railcar and distributes it to customers located in the Shenandoah Valley, Northern Virginia and surrounding areas. Conservation objectives at Front Royal Terminal include providing pollinator habitat within a landscaped area. The avian project maintains nesting habitat for American goldfinch, brown thrasher, Carolina wren, house finch and tufted titmouse. The Little Creek Remediation project’s goals are to clean up trash and debris in the creek and remove invasive species.

Practices and Impacts
- The team installed a pollinator landscaped area, including shrubs and maintains the garden by mulching and weeding.
- Avian nest boxes are installed on-site. The nest boxes are maintained by cleaning and repairs made and monitored for avian use. Mostly wrens use the boxes.
- The project team is working to clean up and remove invasive plants within Little Creek.
