Practices and Impacts
- The 12.6-acre prairie habitat was planted in 2018 with a native seed mix and replaced agricultural row crops.
- The site is monitored yearly to determine plant species in the habitat, as well as to note pollinators and potential threats to the prairie habitat.
- The prairie is adaptively managed using techniques such as regular mowing, controlled burns and targeted chemical use for invasive species.
