The PPG Lime Lakes Barberton site is a reclamation site located in northern Ohio. The site contains a multitude of habitats including fields, upland forest, river floodplain forest, grassland and wetlands. The team actively manages over 130 acres of grassland to provide nesting habitat for migratory birds.

The team actively manages over 130 acres of grassland to provide nesting habitat for migratory birds.
Practices and Impacts
- The team manages their grasslands via mowing and herbicide treatment to reduce the growth of invasive species. In partnership with EnviroScience, the grassland vegetation is monitored annually to assess vegetation cover.
- The team partners with the Greater Akron Audubon Society to conduct annual summer bird counts on-site. The habitat has attracted a variety of grassland nesting birds including the bobolink, dickcissel and eastern meadowlark.
