About the Program
ITC Holdings, an electricity transmission company, works with the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy to complete important conservation work on their Sand Point Nature Preserve in Pigeon, Michigan. The preserve, located on the southeast shore of the Saginaw Bay, is comprised of 220 acres of forest, wetlands and meadow. Thirty acres are actively managed in partnership with ITC in order to increase native nectar sources for pollinators and to learn more about forest habitat plant and animal species in order to make informed management decisions in the future.
