DTE Energy’s Lynch Road Service Center is located in Detroit, Michigan, approximately 10 miles west of Lake St. Clair. The 6.5-acre plant is situated in a residential area and adjacent to a small airport. The DTE Energy team manages native habitat to benefit local pollinators and bats.

Practices and Impacts
- The wildlife team manages a quarter of an acre of landscaped grassland habitat on-site to provide nectar sources and host plants for local pollinators and to attract insects for bats. Team members maintain the garden with regular mowing and weeding to control non-native species.
- A bat box located on the property is monitored monthly during the breeding season. Monitors record presence of guano outside of the box and look up into the open-bottom box for bats.
