About the Program
The Hollandale site, a part of Bayer, is located in Hollandale, Mississippi, approximately 90 miles northwest of Jackson. Hollandale is located in an urban/suburban area where pollinator habitat has been greatly reduced. To help address this issue, the team has created a pollinator garden to provide habitat for native pollinator species, and uses this site to educate the community about the importance of habitat conservation.

Practices and Impacts
  • The team manages 3.2 acres of pollinator habitat, comprised of native wild flowers and grasses. The garden is frequently visited by monarch butterflies, black swallowtail butterflies, American lady butterflies, common buckeye butterfly, and honey bees. The garden serves as an educational tool for the local community.
