Bayer Corporation has created extensive gardens at its Maria Eugenia facility in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The project's goals are to provide a diversity of flowering plants, to prioritize the protection and promotion of native species and to improve the outdoor spaces. The facility and buildings cover 59 acres. The gardens were created in 2018 and have been placed throughout the site. Previously, the areas contained a few trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants, and these existing plants were in poor condition.

Practices and Impacts
- Climate, weather, water, soil and wind were taken into account in designing the gardens. Flowering plants were selected suitable to the conditions.
- Employees and contractors assist in maintenance, including planning, design, planting, replace dead plants, weeding, irrigation, pruning, fertilizing and applying pesticides if needed.
- A contractor conducts annual monitoring of the vegetation. Survival and condition are documented and follow-up, such as treatment or replacement, is conducted as needed.
